This shipment marks an important step for HELIO Agritech in the Colombia market, and also a new starting point for our work in global crop protection.
Our client is an established local agricultural distributor with its own farm operations. With years of honest business practice and strong local service capability, they have earned the trust of many growers. For this reason, product quality, reliable service life, and competitive pricing were the key points in this order.

For this client, sufficient thickness, full weight, and reliable service life are not just product specifications.
They are directly related to whether the crops can receive stable protection in the field, and they also reflect the distributor's responsibility to local growers.
Colombia features diverse tropical climates. Taking Santa Marta as an example, annual sunshine is over 2,600 hours, and sunlight resources are abundant. The monthly peak UV index often stays between 8 and 11+, which means very high to extreme UV exposure through most of the year.
This is why we recommended HELIO Agritech's 200 micron diffuse greenhouse film and 40 mesh insect netting.

The diffuse film helps scatter incoming sunlight inside the greenhouse. Instead of allowing harsh direct sunlight to hit the crop surface and stems in one direction, the film spreads light more evenly across the growing space. This helps reduce the risk of heat stress and sunburn damage under strong sunlight.
Diffuse light also reaches deeper into the crop canopy, from the top leaves to lower branches.
For many high-value crops, better light distribution can support more uniform growth and better yield potential.
For the insect netting, we recommended 40 mesh instead of 50 mesh or 60 mesh.
A finer mesh can block smaller pests, but it also creates a serious airflow tradeoff. The higher the mesh count, the lower the ventilation capacity. Under strong sunlight, poor airflow can quickly increase the temperature inside the growing area, putting crops under heat stress and, in serious cases, causing crop loss.
This is why product selection should never be based on "the higher spec, the better."
The right specification must match the local climate, crop type, sunlight level, pest pressure, and ventilation condition. In many field projects, the most suitable specification performs better than the highest specification.
