Helio Agricultural Technology black and white poly film is a high-end functional film with both light-blocking and cooling properties.
The unique black-and-white dual-layer design allows the black side to completely block sunlight from entering the greenhouse, creating the best growing environment for mushrooms, silage, and shade-loving crops. The white outer layer reflects up to 90% of sunlight, helping reduce the inside temperature by 5–10°C.
It also inhibits weed growth and reduces the spread of pests and diseases.
Features
- Excellent light-blocking properties: Completely blocks sunlight.
- Excellent light-reflecting properties: The surface reflects over 90% of sunlight.
- Cooling and moisturizing properties: Lowers greenhouse temperature, reducing water evaporation.
- Weed control: Blocks weed photosynthesis, achieving weed control.
- Anti-aging properties: UV protection, lasts 3-5 years.

Application
Mushrooms (All Varieties): This is perhaps the most significant application. Black and white film is crucial for creating the near-total darkness required for various stages of mushroom growth while the white side reflects any external light, preventing unwanted light penetration and maintaining a stable, cool environment.
Forced Rhubarb: In some regions, rhubarb is "forced" in dark sheds to produce pale, tender stalks. Black and white film helps replicate these dark conditions when growing in less specialized structures, controlling light exposure precisely.
Controlled Germination (Various Seeds): For seeds that require darkness to germinate successfully, black and white film can be used to cover planting trays or beds, ensuring the necessary dark conditions without the film absorbing excessive heat.
Planting Areas Requiring Light Deprivation (Intermittent): In situations where growers need to simulate shorter days for certain crops to trigger specific growth phases (e.g., flowering in short-day plants), black and white film can be deployed to block light for precise durations.
Light-Sensitive Storage/Curing Areas: While not strictly "planting," these films are often used to create temporary, light-controlled spaces within greenhouses or storage facilities for curing certain crops (like onions or garlic) or storing light-sensitive produce.
Hydroponic Systems (Reflective Ground Cover/Barrier): Used as a ground cover or reflective barrier in hydroponic setups, the white side reflects valuable light back up to the plants, maximizing light utilization, while the black side prevents algae growth on nutrient solutions or growth media by blocking light to the roots or inert substrates.
